Rocket Man

Caution: ROCKET MAN is addictive, very addictive. If you have ever played an endless runner, you know the “Just one more run” feeling and this game takes this concept to a whole new level. Rocket Man has subtle vintage graphics with retro music and the easiest of gameplays. You play a man wearing a jetpack swiftly flying through an endless world with pixels popping out of everywhere. Manoeuvring the jetpack is easy, tapping or holding the touch screen fires the pack, lifting our Rocket Man into the air; releasing the screen makes him drop. It’s simple, but necessarily so once you consider Rocket Mans physics. A jetpack bar at the top of the screen indicates the fuel level of the pack which keeps decreasing on hold and thus flying all the time is sure to exhaust the fuel.

Your score increases with at a quick rate with every second you run through this dreaded maze and if you manage to collide into something you start over. Rocket Man looks very much like the classic addictive game Jetpack Joyride by Halfbrick Studios, it has a somewhat same feel although the gameplay, graphics and soundtrack are quite different.  Rocket Man is an easy to play game, and the more you play it, the better you get at it, this keeps you hungry for more and throws you into the whole one more round mood.

Rocket Man looks fantastic, with some great graphics and there are some things like the shadow which the Rocket Man leaves behind or the near perfect steer controls for the Rocket Man which underlines the maker’s attention to details. Just like all other Gamezop games, Rocket Man can be played using the phone app or even on the web, it can also be played offline on your smartphone. If you enjoy side scrolling action games, you should surely check Rocket Man out. It won’t disappoint.

Tip: Be careful to not exhaust your jetpack fuel
